Sans titre, sans encre, 2010

Architecture Museum, Basel, Switzerland Paper installation with thermal paper rolls, 3.95 x 5.10 m

This "wallpaper" was produced with 22 thermal paper rolls. The paper is gradually darkened from the heat from the heating unit, installed directly behind the artwork. For the duration of the one month exhibition, the heating unit continued to darken the thermal "wallpaper".

This technique gives the illusion that the paper seems burned or painted with black ink or charcoal, but it is simply a thermal reaction to the paper.
