Imagerie du hasard, 2011-13

Musée Jenisch Vevey, installation view, thermal paper. Sizes 21 x 29.5 to 21 x 34 cm.

Imagerie du hasard, is a series of works on thermal paper, exposed for a few minutes on a metal plate that is warmed by the heat of the sun. The thermal reaction from the sun heats the paper and darkens it over time. The circle or line which appear on certain work is the residue left from the sticker adhesive, usually found at the end of a roll.

Imagerie du hasard is a performative work, reacting from the heat of solar energy on the paper.
