Escape Landscape, 2009

Black & white video, without sound, 9 min loop.

In the film Escape Landscape, the progressive dismemberment of a sheet of paper as it comes into contact with the flame reverses the course of time, taking its disappearance as its starting point and reverting to its original state. It is, then, through lapse or absence, a kind of elision of the material, that the images is created or takes shape, it is through this intermediary that the work becomes possible.
