L'O perdue/ Bois d'eau

L'O Perdue, Bois d'eau, 2017, New Orleans, US

L'O perdue is the first scent created of a serie made by extraction of scents, from strategically chosen historic places in New Orleans, Louisiana, US and its surrounding regions which are destined to soon disappear due to ecological or climatic issue. L'O perdue is made by extraction of the wet earth in swamp after a heavy summer thunderstorm. All the work of extraction of scents is done first by distillation and after by synthesis. These fragrances will probably be the last olfactory documents created in these disappearing environments. This scent production was made possible through the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans for the Silver Circle, created exclusively for upper-level CAC Members, this limited scent edition of 60 was made in New Orleans and Switzerland with the collaboration of Andreas Wilhelm perfumer.
